The city of San Diego faces another sexual harassment scandal

The former mayor, Bob Filner, famously departed office under a scandalous cloud of sexual harassment and impropriety. Unfortunately, many families are living paycheck to paycheck. This means that once an injury or illness strikes, these families are left without a safety net or paycheck. The Department of Labor estimates that more than one-third of private sector workers do not have access to paid sick leave.

National Park Service plagued by harassment

The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee heard testimony last week regarding rampant sexual harassment, abuse, intimidation, and misconduct throughout the National Park Service (NPS). The NPS is the federal authority that manages the nation's federal parks like Yellowstone, the Grand Canyon, and Yosemite.
